Atlanta Real Estate
Vinings Georgia has become a hot Atlanta real estate market with no sign of cooling off any time soon. ViningsGa.net has been established as a way for non-Vinings residents to learn more about the area and as a meeting ground for residents from our various local neighborhoods. Established as an independent news and information site, Viningsga.net is not owned in anyway by a real estate or mortgage company.
ViningsGA.net also features independent home and community reviews in and around Vinings and local residents are encouraged to post their comments in regards to any article seen. News and features are provided by a number of Vinings residents and Home Owner Associations and we are always looking for additional contributions ranging from restaurant reviews, home improvement tips to community reviews.
Only a few years ago, Vinings was considered an out of the way neighborhood with mostly undeveloped areas. Atlanta residents pursued real estate north of the perimeter where the dot.com boom was creating jobs at an incredible pace. With the employment implosion, traffic down GA-400 has reached critical mass with I-75 and I-85 not far behind. The Atlanta Transportation Authority has gone so far as to project permanent gridlock at many of the on and off ramps in the upcoming 5 to10 years.
Vinings and the northwest corner of Atlanta comprise the 2nd largest commercial real estate market in Atlanta yet has one of the lowest numbers of full time residents. Vinings has proven to be far less congested than most areas and traffic rarely seems to be a problem. With the exception of the single lane road running through Historic Vinings, the area has a long way to go before even coming close to what most of Atlanta experiences every day on our highways.
Vinings is also seeing a growing number of commercial real estate developments in the works. Cumberland Mall is finally being renovated with much of the old structure being torn down and replaced with outdoor restaurants and shops similar to that of Perimeter Mall. Additional restaurants are also moving in at a rapid rate in many of the live-work communities being developed in this area.
Historic Vinings in particular has grown into a popular neighborhood destination featuring an array of restaurants, bars and shops. Homebuilders have been developing residential homes and neighborhoods at an incredible pace to capture the growing desire by homebuyers to avoid the exhausting commute endured by many who live outside the perimeter.
Vinings will also soon host the Cobb Energy Center for the Performing Arts to be located at the intersection of I-285 and I-75. The Cobb Energy Center for the Performing Arts will feature Broadway plays and shows, concerts, musicals, events and various other performances in an effort compete directly with the Fox Theater.
