COBB ENERGY CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS ANNOUNCES HIRING OF PROJECT COORDINATOR, DAWN MAIRA LIEBER
ATLANTA – The Cobb Energy Centre for the Performing Arts proudly announces the hiring of Dawn Maira Lieber as Project Coordinator. Prior to joining the Cobb Energy Centre, Ms. Lieber worked for the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA and Carnegie Hall in New York.
As project coordinator, Ms. Lieber will be responsible for the development and implementation of special projects, plans, and reports prior to the opening of the Cobb Energy Centre. Projects include researching and analyzing current trends in the entertainment industry to assist with the creation of standard operating procedures for the Cobb Energy Centre.
“Hiring Dawn as project coordinator and having someone on staff this early in the planning is a huge step for the design and construction process,” said Wendy Riggs, Managing Director for the Cobb Energy Centre. “Dawn is young, energetic and brings a new level of excitement to this project.”
Fairly new to the industry, Ms. Lieber has quickly made a name for herself in the theatrical and performance production scene. She garnered valuable experience as a production manager at the Fox Theatre, coordinating technical aspects of incoming and outgoing shows and integrating the operations of a new performance venue into a
landmark building as the administrator for Carnegie Hall. Details of the Cobb Energy Centre for the Performing Arts include a 2,750-seat theatre, 10,000-square foot ballroom, 1000-space parking deck, and full service food and beverage capabilities. Groundbreaking was held on January 26, 2005 with projected completion in summer 2007.
A native of Atlanta, Ms. Lieber has a Master of Fine Arts from the Laban Centre for
Movement and Dance in London, England and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Florida
State University.
