COBB-MARIETTA COLISEUM AND EXHIBIT HALL AUTHORITY NAME PROGRAM MANAGER TO PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE

ATLANTA – The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority approved an agreement on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 to retain The Facility Group as the Program Manager for the upcoming performing arts center slated for construction adjacent to Cobb Galleria Centre, at I-75 and Cobb Galleria Parkway.

With the growing need for additional arts and entertainment options in the region, the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority, operators of Cobb Galleria Centre, formed the Cumberland Galleria Cultural Alliance, a group of business and community leaders that will plan and oversee the development.

Features of the performing arts center include a 3,000-seat theatre; 700-seat recital hall; 200-seat experimental theatre, as well as teaching classrooms and meeting space. The $125 million project will sit on 11 prime acres used in 2003 for Cirque du Soleil’s performance of VAREKAI and again in 2004 for the performance of ALEGRIA.

The Facility Group, founded by Robert Moultrie in 1986, provides turn-key professional services in the design and construction industry including Program Management, Facility Planning, Architecture, Engineering and Construction Management. Based in Smyrna, The Facility Group has regional offices throughout the U.S. as well as international offices in Europe and Mexico.

The performing arts center is being designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, a well-known Atlanta-based architectural firm with many large public buildings to its credit including the design of Cobb Galleria Centre.
