You’re sure to find something to do for the Fourth of July in Cobb County, whether you’re looking for a concert, children’s activities or just some good fireworks. Listed below are some events happening around the county for the holiday. July 2: “Blue Star Salute” at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Rd., Marietta. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. A day for the community to honor military personnel. Patriotic program, awards ceremony, displays, door prizes, exhibits, entertainment, children’s activities and concessions. Free admission and parking. Info: (770) 732-0406. July 3: Independence Day Celebration & Summer Concert with “Flashback” at the Depot in downtown Kennesaw. Fireworks after dark. 8-11 p.m. July 4: TV23 will air the Marietta Freedom Parade live from the Marietta Square at 10 a.m. The festivities will also include food, arts & crafts, carnival games and concerts.
